So I was browsing through online shopping sites and came across this lipstick set from the company ADS on Shopclues.com. Well, the interesting part is in the times when the cosmetic prices are soaring high, this set of 10 lipsticks was available for Rs 139 which means a single lipstick costs less than Rs 15. I decided to order the lipsticks out of curiosity to check how they apply. The shades I ordered included tones of brown, reds and maroon.img_20161109_201105891

When my order arrived, to my surprise these lipsticks weren’t that bad at all, I mean at that price! I especially loved the red and berry shades for which I’m making a comparison of the cheapest lipstick I have ever seen with the costlier branded lipsticks.

ROUND  1- ADS mini lipstick in red VS Bellapierre mineral lipstickimg_20161109_095737541

Here’s a picture of the ADS mini lipstick. The size is half of the normal lipsticks and comes in a portable transparent packaging, however, the lipstick is quite prone to breakage so try being a little gentle while twisting the lipstick out.

The ADS lipstick needs multiple strokes to show a good color and the texture is matte, which is why I like it. It does transfer a bit and doesn’t have much of lasting power, however, if you’re planning it to wear it for a few hours without grabbing a burger, it’s actually a good and cheap option to go for. The lipstick looks smooth and doesn’t cause patchiness or leave the lips dry, considered you apply a lip balm before the application.

I have always been in love with this lipstick since the time I bought it, especially because it smells like chocolates. Priced at Rs 1500, The lipstick shows good color in one stroke and doesn’t cause any patchiness. Unlike the ADS mini matte lipstick, this lipstick is more on the creamier side. It does stay for 3-4 hours with light drinks and cautious eating which is pretty okay for me!

WINNER-Both of the lipsticks looks almost same after application despite the huge price difference. ADS lipstick is not bad considering the price but Bellapierre mineral lipstick steals the show!

ROUND 2- ADS mini berry lipstick VS The Big Bang Berry by Sugar

Here’s how it looks!

This lipstick turned out to be a little patchy than the red one but slight lip balm helped to get an even application. The texture is purely matte and smooth. The only problem is it transfers a bit (no kissing!) and doesn’t stay after a meal.

I totally love the packaging as it looks edgy and chic.

Here’s how it turned out!

The lipstick applies flawlessly with just one stroke and leaves a beautiful berry shade with a purple undertone. The texture is matter and transfers fairly less than other matte lipsticks I have used. It does stay for 3-4 hours unless you’re not going to a full pizza eating spree.

WINNER- The Sugar Big bang Berry lipstick has a purple undertone while the ADS lipstick has a maroon undertone so I like the Sugar lipstick more as it gives more wine like color.

If you’re running low on budget, you can consider buying the ADS mini lipstick as they worked fairly well (better than I expected).
